Customer BaseWe call on all classes of trade including distributors, chain/big box stores, mail order and buying groups; with a focus on independent dealers. Our law enforcement group calls on agencies as well as distributors and dealers.
Sales ForceWe travel 17 men in the states noted above. Eleven are focused in the Shooting Sports Industry and six are 100% involved in the Law Enforcement products area. In addition our sales coordinator, Paul Dembkowski, has outside account responsibility. We believe this makes him cognizant of issues in the field.
Office StaffFor the convenience of our factories and customers we maintain a full time staff of three at our Lawrenceville office. They handle a variety of customer service and problem solving areas to make our field force more effective.
Corporate History and OverviewFounded in 1964 the original focus was hunting and fishing products sold through two-step distribution. Simpson Sales was one of the first agencies in the southeast to recognize the changing market and subsequent need to focus on a broader customer base. Today we have the manpower and expertise to take your products to all trade channels. Since 1982 each of our men has received monthly, computerized sales and quota analysis by factory by account. This provides them the tools to evaluate their performance and plan for success. We take a hands-on management approach. We maintain contact with our field sales force through daily itineraries and required advance planning. A teamwork effort assures that all of our group works together to pull product through distribution as well as direct sales channels. Our men have the training and expertise to handle sales meetings, training sessions, in-store promotions and consumer events. In addition, they have vast experience in structuring incentive programs at the account level to pull product off the shelf. At the 2005 and 2007 SHOT Shows, Simpson Sales Company was recognized by NSSF and SHOT Business Magazine as Manufacturers Rep Agency of the Year for the Shooting Sports Industry. This award exemplifies the strength and drive of our sales force. Simpson sales is the only Agency to have won this award twice.
